View Full Version : School bullying

Has anyone else heard that school bullying is actually supposed to be on the rise, as opposed to decreasing?

You would think after bullying being a problem for so long, that schools would start coming up with more successful means to combat or cut down on bullying.

Have any of you had kids who suffered from bullying either at one point or consistently?

Have any of them bullied themselves?

I believe it. School bullying is getting more sneaky, the bullies smarter. It's no longer a matter of the big guy coming up to the little guy and giving him a weggie. It's hate texts and groups disowning one of their own. It goes into the home via MSN and email. It's no longer a few visible bruises, but emotional hurts, hateful words and taunts.
My kids are lucky. They've never been bullied but they've seen it, and reported it too.

The first day of kindergarten my son had an issue with pinching people, even the teacher. Can you say embarrassing? After we sat him down and talked about it the issue went away. So far so good.
