So I was out at a craft fair this weekend. Lots of fun.

But there were SO many women there using snuggli brand baby carriers that were NOT on right! I wanted to go up and fix them. Not only are they using a sling that is NOT good for the baby (because it is hard on the hips), but then they don't even wear them right. *shakes head*

I did see one older woman using a ring sling and another lady using a wrap, they were both wearing them correctly.

Why is it if people have something *tied* for them, they can't use it correctly.

How many of you use slings?

I have a Mai Tei that i just love. I wouldn't give it up for the world. I can carry kids til about age 3, or they just wont have anymore of it with it.

I don't like slings, they always get on my nerves having to snap or unbuckle or un something else to get my son out of them. And I would have been screaming at someone if they used it incorrect, even though I don't use one doesn't mean I want someone taking the chance of hurting them or the baby just because they didn't bother to read the directions. You and me both, if you don't have common sense, you shouldn't be allowed to use such things!!

People are uneducated, apparently.

Why are snuggli brand ones bad? They sell so many of them, they can't be all that bad for babies.

I used to have a baby sling and it was demonstrated to me in the store when I bought it how to use it correctly, but you're right, so many don't.

You know what I hate more though -seeing someone carrying a newborn with the baby's head on their shoulder and its butt in the crook of their elbow, but not supporting the little one's head or back with the other hand! It makes me feel sick. All it would take is for that baby to jerk back or them to stumble and the baby would be on the floor with a cracked skull. Some people are very thoughtless.
