What I have now, my son will be starting "big boy school" (not daycare) this fall. Even though he lives with his father, I still worry about all the things a Mother should and does. :) Good advice here and a great way to get prepared early on.

My daughter is on her last nerve because she is actively looking for a daycare for her son. She wants to do a coop one so she's active where he is, but she is also looking for full time employment. She is getting on my nerves.

Just let the boy go. She is so worried about not being "available" to him when he needs her. He's going to have to grow up eventually.

Well, my mom sounds pretty much like you Gramma. But I believe my son, at 4, NEEDS his mother available. We're looking at this place that has a prek program, and is a full time daycare too. It's got crazy security to get in, so it kind of helps me feel alright... LOL
