We really should get a digital camera. I have over 3 dozen rolls of film to have developed!!!!

Does anyone have so many pictures of their baby you are forced to wonder if you're holding the camera MORE than your honey muffin? lol

I can't wait to have them to moon over when he's older though!

I am a picture taking freak! I can never have enough photos. I have about 1000 on my girls website, her dad is a geek so of course she is maybe 40 hours old, and already has her first site, blog and email address. :) You can never take enough pictures, they grow so quickly. :)

We were just discussing how we are going to con my parents into buying us one of those nifty digital camera/camcorders when we decide to have kids. Because we've definitely grown attached to our digital camera (although I still love my 35mm) and a camcorder would be a needed item these days. We figure with a digital camera we can buy them one of those nifty digital picture frames and they can upload new pictures daily/weekly and keep everyone happy.

It's funny you should say that! It's always a bone of contention between my siblings that our oldest sister had millions of pictures taken. Then the numbers progressively dwindled as each of us arrived. My parents deny it but we know it's true! There's far more pics of the first born than the rest of us put together. We joke about it all the time and it drives them nuts.

I imagine it might make them feel guilty rockthecradle. It's the same in my home and pretty much every multiple child home you walk in to. The first child is all firsts for the parents as well as the child. Then more children come and the focus has to split. It can't all go on the 2nd child like it did with the first, so the pictures are just one of the things that gets put on the backburner. My kids point the same things out to me and I deny it, but the reality is I just feel horrible inside when they point it out. It wasn't meant to be that way, it's just how things turned out.

Nah, they take it in good fun..I think! I'll make sure though just in case as I'd hate it if we were hurting their feelings. There were four of us so we totally understand about the time and focus being split, especially now we have our own kids. Heck my pics are the same way, starting with loads when my son was newborn then dwindling as time passes. I'm sure your kid's intentions are the same as ours, it's just gentle teasing with no hurt intended at all. :) Thanks for pointing that out and making me think a bit about it.

That is a lot of film to get taken care of! A friend of mine with her first, did not have a digital camera, so for her first Christmas with her new guy, he ended up getting about 8 rolled taken care of for her, before that she had remembered taking a lot he pictures of her child, but never seen any of them. I think thats a really sweet gift. :)

I wish they had these types of cameras when my children were little. We went from using the 1970's cameras to anything else, but of course, the digital ones come out when my kids were still in high school so you guessed it. I had to buy one for each of the three kids of mine.

My best friends got together and bought me a digital camera. I was so surprised. I guess they know how I am about getting film developed. It never seems to make it to the store. Now I don’t have to worry about that. I just hope their gift doesn’t backfire on them. I’m sure I'll be sending them more pictures than they really want to see.

Wow, that is alot of pictures! I am always doing the same thing taking a billion pictures for all my friends and family, kind of a hobby of mine. I can work the camera well enough to take some really good pictures when I'm not trying to, and then when I try is when the bad ones are taken. Figures, huh?

Some of my friends for my birthday put together a huge kit of pictures from my kids when they were younger. We moved around a good bit for awhile there, and many albums were lost. It was the best gift I had gotten for my birthday in a long time, so much thought went into it, about a dozen people helped out not counting kids, it was the best!
