Who here is a member of your child's PTA at school? I'm not sure I want to join, but I think I will go to the meetings when they are scheduled. I'm not too keen on politics, but I guess it's good to know what's going on in your school and school district.

I went to the PTA meetings, but never joined up. I would go also just to hear what was going on.

Ehh, my wife went to a few but neither of us really got into it. I guess if we saw a problem we would go, but since things at school are going well we dont see a need to go.

I don't know if it's something I'm going to want to do or not, but when my kids reach that age, I will at least give it a shot and see if it's something I think I could do.

I was a member of the PTA in one school my son went to, however when you have a click of friends that are the higher members you are often forgotten and your opinions and suggestions are ignored because they will do what they really want even if it costs more.

I now only attend meetings and are not really a part of the PTA board members for the schools.
