Well my situation is not exactly sibling jealousy, but its close enough. My 3 year old sister,Lilly, appears to be acting jealous towards her new nephew, Matt.(my older brother is 23 and just had a kid). My little sister isnt mean to Matt but cleary doesnt like to be around him. she also seems a bit upset at my older brother for spending a lot more time with matt and not with her.
We tried to explain things to Lilly but she is only three.
any sugestions, and has any one else had a problem like this?

It's going to take your sister Lilly some time before she sees Matt is not a threat. Your brother needs to include her in the little things that can be done to help out with Matt.
When my son was born I let my daughter do things like help out in changing the baby, feeding and I would put her on the sofa and put the baby in her arms, with me sitting next to them, and let her see that her brother was just so cute. It worked. Now after 20 some years later she puts him on a head lock and tells him how cute he really is!....!

That's something that she'll learn more about as she gets older and matures. It's one of those things that I think is important to let the child learn on their own.

I agree, in time she'll learn to love her nephew, and Im sure they will have a great time being with each other, especially since there around the same age.

I have experienced sibling jelousy first hand. It is kind of bad, but you will get over it. I mean the child.
