are you a single parent? I think it's so sad that so many children never get to experience a whole home. But some people sure make a good go at it anyway.

Is it hard? I seperated from my husband for a few months because he was an alcoholic. I did alright. We got back together when he quit drinking.

Single parents have to have the absolute hardest job in the world. But, if the parents cannot get along, staying together for the sake of the child is worse for the child than having an absent parent. I respect anyone who finds a way to make it on their own.

I'm "single" but I'm not alone. I live with my son's dad. Although often, it's just like being single, but with the added frustration of dealing with him not wanting to participate. He's a good dad when he feels like engaging. But he often has the attitude that "it's your job". It's my job to keep my son out of his hair when he's tired, sick, whatever. Sometimes I think it would be LESS work to be a single parent without his "help". lol but his son loves him, and needs him here even if I don't like the way he participates.
