Here I am a new mother with lots of family and friend support, but when you are tired of everyone being around, what do you do to try and relax? I have always been wound too tight, and always the loud mouth, energetic one of the entire family, I have now noticed, I need to find a good way to chill out. I don't have the time to get pampered and go visit a spa, not like that is really my thing, I'm not too girlie, so anyone with some ideas let me know.
I am usually the one person that my friends call, I love babies, they are my addiction. :) I'm a babysitter for most of my work, since I work from home, it helps esp. knowing that sometimes peoples work schedules change and might need an over night babysitter. Thats where I come in.
When I am not with babies, which is most of the time during the week days and sometimes weekends, I try and catch a good movie, huge movie buff here. :) I would love to hit up a spa.

I think that you (the OP) needs some time alone. That doesn't necessarily mean without your baby, but without all the interference that others seem to be running for you.
Even a walk in the park would do you good. Just put the baby in a baby carrier or stroller and get some fresh air.

Hi kiico,
Boy you are 'preachin' to the choir' I too have always been that way, and find it very difficult to just 'relax'. I'm either going 100 miles an hour or asleep not much in between. Which isn't good for us.
The thing I've found that really helps me is reading a good book. Maybe go to the library, or second hand book store get an arm full and try it...
