I know that I couldn't wait till my babies started talking. I talked to them non-stop. I'd heard that the more words that were used around a child and not cutesy sounds, the more chance that the child would have of having a strong vocabulary.
Once mine did started talking I wondered when they would stop...lol How did you all start helping your kids to talk?

My child is just over a year old so we are hoping she will strart talking soon. My wife and I just keep talking to her and wondering what her first word will be.
Right now we just talk to him, and sometimes have babytalk conversations.
My niece was talking before her first birthday. I think its a great idea to talk to your kids as much as possible. They learn from hearing you. And none of that goo goo gaa gaa baby stuff either. Real words, real sentences.

Oh mine talked. My son would talk in his sleep. The pediatrician said that he would grow out of it. 21 Years later he is still talking in his sleep. I feel so sorry for his future wife.
