I was just reading that it's normal for a newborn baby girl to have a vaginal discharge. That can't possibly be true can it? Who here has a baby girl, and did that happen?

My niece had constant redness and yeast infections when she was an infant. It was absolutely normal for her. So why can't discharge be normal for that infant girl.

Thankfully my little girl is having nothing of the sort right now. I can't imagine how such a small child could have discharge. I wonder what causes it.

Yes, it really does happen - and before stated - yes it freaks out most new parents ESP FATHERS! :) Just grin and bare it. :)

Of course it's possible. It's because they came from a woman's body that they were sharing all kinds of things with, including hormones that cause things like discharges :)
