If I had found my baby's mouth taped shut, I don't think it would have occured to me to try to get pictures. I would have been way too upset to think that logically. Good to hear that nurse is no longer there.

Babies' Mouths Taped Shut in Hospital

MOSCOW (Reuters) - A criminal prosecution has begun after pictures of babies with sticking tape over their mouths were filmed in a hospital in Yekaterinburg in the Urals.

A mother filmed the shocking pictures on her cell before filing a complaint.

The grainy cell phone images show white tape covering the mouth of a tiny baby as it roles around in its cot.

The incident happened in a maternity ward in Yekaterinburg in Russia and has led to a criminal investigation.

A mother of three managed to film several orphaned babies being mistreated in this way.

Witness Yelena Kuritsyna said, "I heard that a baby was mumbling in a neighbouring room; when I looked in, I saw the baby with plaster over his mouth; he could not cry or do anything, was just mumbling. I went to see a nurse and asked her, in a quite rude way, how she could have done such a thing..

"She said that it was not my business, but I said that it was my business, and asked her to take the plasters off, but she refused. But seeing my determination she took the bandages off."

The nurse responsible for taping babies mouths no longer works at the hospital and a full investigation is under way.

The nurse should be beaten and tortured. Those poor babies could have strangled on their own saliva. And, God forbid they had to throw up. Someone should do the same to that nurse and see how she likes it.

If I'd walked in and seen tape on my boy's mouth, that nurse better hope the police got to her before I did. What's the matter with people?

People are so sick. I hope that woman went to prison. I just don't undertand what the world is coming to.

Oh my holy... This IS disturbing. And the nurse ARGUED????!!!! What planet does she have to be from that something like that is SO acceptable in her mind that she had the NERVE to ARGUE!!

This is more than disturbing, and there is no lady like term I could use to explain what would happen if I were that mother. I keep my temper under control expect during three times: mess with my loved ones, mess with me when I am eating, or call me a cu**.

There would need to be at least 10 people pulling me off of that nurse had I been that mother. There are sick people in the world, and I still believe in a good Ole butt kicking when needed. Just the way I was raised I guess. :)
