I have noticed that some parents worry when their boys play with dolls, or if their girls play with boy toys like the matchbox cars and so on. Does this really even matter - their children and their nosy, shouldn't things like this be expected rather than being in shock and telling the child no don't play with that?
I agree with you. My son plays with his sisters dolls and I use it as time to teach him body parts and facial features. He also enjoys playing with her kitchen set. My daughter has always played with cars, trucks and bugs.
They say boys who play with dolls grow up to be good husbands and fathers! :D

I have no problems with cross gender toys. I was a tom boy-I played with cars and trucks and blocks, and I liked to climb trees. I owned just one doll-a baby doll. I hate Barbies and all that plastic rubbish, and would prefer to sit and draw.
I was a tomboy as well and you know they always seemed to have cooler toys for boys than girls. I loved the idea of match box cars so I could drive fast. :D Then later in life I got my first speeding ticket and still remember making the sound vroooooom. :)
