My daughter is 8 months and starting to take much shorter naps that she used to. Last month she would sleep about 4 hours in total throughout the day in naps. Now she has cut that in half . I knew that her naps would eventually get shorter but I didn't think that it would change so fast and drastically. She gets really cranky in the evening b/c she is so tired. But if I let her go to bed at 7pm she'll get up in the middle of the night. Any advice on naps?

Sounds like she may be going through a growth spurt and/or teething. I wouldn't change her schedule too much, just try to stick it out and hope that it goes back to normal in a few weeks.

Ahh I had the same problem, my little one is just under a year old and does not get enough sleep at all! I was so worried and posted on here for advice, some of the other mothers suggested perhaps singing to him?
It works! Reading works aswell, he gets so bored of me :P

With mine when they were younger we'd just set a schedule but with twins it only really works if both sleep at the same time. And then they started teething and didn't want to nap but the other did and it got really difficult, but if you just make sure they get enough sleep and stick to the schedule as much as possible, such as putting them down at nap time, closing the door, but if they get up don't fuss. And then at night put them down at the same time as always (trying not to make it any earlier) and of course make sure they know, it's bedtime. But if they go to early you run the risk of a 4:30am wake up call.
