View Full Version : TV for the baby

I remember back when my daughter was a baby, I used to turn on cartoons. She seemed fascinated with the colors, music, and cartoony voices. I know too much TV isn't good for kids, but I think that's once they're old enough to actually understanding what's going on in the shows. Anyone else have an opinion on TV for babies?

Ack, I just made a thread in another forum about this. I didn't have many tvs when I had kids, but we have many now.

I was raised on tv and it didn't do me any harm. I mean look where I am now...on the internet!...lol

I think there's nothing wrong with cartoons of today. If a parent just monitors the time spent on TV them tv is not a problem, but that's just for the cartoons. Adult TV is another issue.

Like I said in the other thread, I feel there are better things to do than watch TV.

I see nothing wrong with letting them watch a little tv. Especially educational programming. I doubt I'll be putting a television in the nursery or anything like that, but once they're a little older I'll allow a few tv programs.
