View Full Version : Was it planned?

Did you decide it was time to have a baby, or was it more a matter of "oops, you play you pay"? In a perfect world, I guess we'd all have time to plan. But I guess we're not all that lucky.

I was young for my first one, and it was definitely an oops. We weren't even really trying on any of our kids, but yet it just happened.

Well, I was not practicing any birth control but I also was not planning a baby. It was more like a matter of ,if it happens its ok,because I wanted a baby for a while before it happened.I think it took a while because my periods were irregular.Just a matter of bad timing I think.I had my first at 20 then never had more for 14 years.

We too were not using birth control. In fact we were ready for a baby, but had hoped that we would have a little more time to practise before she came along. As it happened we conceived the third time we had sex, and so not really an accident, but faster than we were ready for.

As for me, well it wasn't. I must admit it was one borne out of habit. Lol :)
When you are young and you're quite immature, you just go for it without a doubt in your heart not considering the consequences ahead.

But no regrets! :)

It took me over a year to get pregnant the first time. I didn't think I was ever going to get pregnant! For my second child we were using birth control so he was a great big surprise!

We were ready and waiting, tried only a few months and bam bam :D, we had it nailed. I think we were one of the lucky ones to get through so quickly.

With my foster daughter, it wasn't planned. After she was taken away from her mother (my mans sister) we were only supposed to keep her until they found a more suitable home. Needless to say, we fell in love with her and she didn't want to be parted from us when the day came. About a few weeks later we had done the necessary paperwork and now we have had her in our home for about a year.

The child I am expecting was planned but unplanned. We had been trying to conceive but when my man had to go away to school we decided it would be better for him to finish first. But God had other ideas and blessed me with the baby growing in my tummy.

All my babies were not being planned. They all came in unexpectedly. On our third baby we want it a girl so we are planning to have it on my early 30s but to our surprise I am already pregnant and will be giving birth on January of 2008. :)

Mine were planned but our first decided to be born (or should I say conceived) early. We had to try for afew years before hand, then gave up for abit, and by magic I was pregnant.

No, not an "accident" thankfully...and I dread the thought of a parent telling their kid some day "the condom broke you know?" or something equally horrible.

You never want your kid to feel like they were an accident or unwanted.

We tried for our first baby and then nine years later, we had an oops and three years after that, we had an oops again, for the last time!

We had been trying but it wasn't working because I had an eating disorder when I was a teenager and my periods are irregular, I had loads of doctors appointments to see what it was and they all came up inconclusive but nothing happened so we gave up and then a little less than a year later I got pregnant with my boys.

This time was most definatley an oops, but a very good one and I just found out it's a GIRL!!!!
