I don't think my parents are going to be happy about being grandparents. My mom is only 34, so she's probably going to think she's too young to be a grandmother. Do you think she'll be happy eventually even if she isn't happy right away?

I'm not a grandmom...yet, but I'm looking forward to it. With your mom, 34 might be a little too young, but the upside is that she'll be young enough to keep up with her grandchildren.

I know my mom can't wait for the baby to get here. It's her first grandchild on our side of the family. She does have grand kids from my step brother and sister, though. She loves them all. My hubby's mom is excited as well and she already have 3 grand kids.
I became a grand mother in May, and I just turned 44 in June. I find it odd that life is catching up with me, I turned my own mother into a Gram when she was 37 - I think Karma works wonders that way. I did however, to expect my first to give me a grand child before my second, but then again, life is funny sometimes. :)

I think every parent can't wait to be a grandparent. They might not like how soon YOU became a mother, but I think that's because they care about YOU and YOUR future. I am far more worried about my son having babies when HE'S ready than when I'M ready.
For once, I agree with with mamasita. I am very excited to be a grandparent, and would be anytime. If I was going to be bothered about the timing, it would be for my kid's sake.
I couldn't wait to be a Grandma. My Grandson is 12 weeks old and I am besotted by him!
