I have seen a lot of mothers placing their babies on their shoulders in order for their babies to burp. Is the correct and best way for making babies burp after feeding them? Or are there other ways to make a baby burp? And lastly, do we always need to make the babies burp after they have been fed?

Burping a baby is only to get any access air out of their tummy. Thats to avoid a tummy ache. If you have a good feeding system there should not be much air if any.All the same to avoid a possible tummy ache,I always preferred laying them across my lap and patting their back. You can also put them up to your shoulder, but my way was more comfortable for me.:D
