Hi Mommies,

Ok, so we all got pregnant. And we were too excited that the moment we learned about it we started to shop for baby's clothes, feeding bottles, nappy, etc.

What was the first thing you bought when you knew you were on the family way?:)

Maternity clothes! ha ha...It's been so long since mine, but for daughter and daughter in law, things I bought for their baby's I kept 'hid' until they got into their second trimester, I was too scared should something happen....but I had a closet full let me tell you...I bought in addition to maternity clothes, disposable diapers, wipes, little unisex sleepers etc. and we started looking at cribs, and the bedding...

I always end up getting my friends who are pregnant a new baby blanket. Most of the time they are crocheted ones that you can just drape over when in a glider or rocking chair. Its always been my favorite thing to give, maybe one day I will get one in return. :)

Haha, I almost forgot about that Sabre's Grandma, I did bought one immediately after knowing am preggy. :)

A stuffed animal and a blanket. Two of the most beloved things I remember from my childhood. After that it was bottles, toys, and clothes/shoes but the first thing I bought mine was something to cuddle with.

The first thing I bought my sister when she found out she was pregnant was a baby basket. It was white with little stuffed animals hanging from the edge of the top. My niece adores playing them.

Bassinet shoes were my first purchase. It was my way of telling my husband that there was a little one on the way-he came home to a home cooked meal, with the shoes on his plate.

I also think I'd rush to get me some clothing since there's no way I can forsee how much I'll "grow". And then all kinds of things for the new member of the family. God I'd be thrilled to do all this shopping :)

With my first born (my son) I bought clothes and toys first. With my girl, I bought toys and bottles. Then a little of everything else. Stock up more on baby blankets (receiving ones) they make good burp clothes for the first few months, and being bigger than the regular ones, help more too!

The first thing I remember buying was a baby blanket. Then I made sure to start buying what I knew I would need the most of ,bottles. I never wanted to use second hand bottles.

Like the poster before me I started collecting thoses things I would need the most of. Diapers,and bottles. They have so many bottle types to choose from.
