Are you one of those parents who thinks they have to dress their baby in high end clothes regardless of the fact that they'll outgrow them before you can blink and nobody sees the brand tags except you? Or... are you more practical, getting your best buys and realizing it doesn't have to cost a fortune to look good?

When the time comes, we'll probably get a couple of designer outfits for special occasions and to have pictures done. But, as you pointed out, they outgrow them so quickly that it hardly seems worth it to try and stock their whole constantly changing wardrobe with high end stuff. I think for everyday wear stuff from regular department stores should be fine.

I agree with Lily, there is no point in spending more when they are just going to grow out of it anyways. Right now my girl is 8 months, and I'm not that worried if someone came up to me and said "O no your kid isn't in _____", then I can just reply "I guess you don't really know how expensive kids are"! :D

As a first time parent I wanted new clothes but not HIGH end clothes. We did our shopping at walmart. I took hand me downs and used them happily, but I loooved new stuff.
