breast pumps

I had a few different ones of these. Sometimes they seem to wear out quickly. I am wondering what the best breast pumps to use are. Who here has had a really good breast pump?

I couldn't afford it last time but I am getting it this time around the medela dual electric pump is supposed to be the absolute best. They have them at Babies r us and some targets I believe.

I have read like Leighanne that the Medela is the best. The breastfeeding advisor at the hospital should be able to provide a list of places that rent the professional ones. The ones that they use at the hospital.

I had a manual pump and, while it was a bit hard on the arm to keep pumping, it had almost nothing on it that could break. I would probably still have it if I hadn't lost it in a move.

I have used the Medela brand and love it. My friend is using the freestyle that she got at babies r us. They are really expensive but it is so worth the price.

I use the Medela freestyle breast pump and it is amazing. At first I tried to use a hand pump but it was hard. I like the freestyle, hands free double electric pump.

My wife used the Playtex version of a pump and she loved it, becuase she could pump right into the bottles and feed our little one. I am sure that most of them that have a good brand name are pretty good.

I used a hand pump the first time because it was quiet and I had to go back to work with no adequate place to pump so I had to do it in the employee bathroom which I know was horrible. I will be looking to get and electric this time and Medela seems to be a great brand.

Yes, Medela IS the best and lasts for years and years.
But I think all pumps make noise, there's not much chance to avoid this issue...
