I am prego with #2. I have a 14 month old son named Tate Millan. Millan was my great-grandfathers last name. If #2 is a boy he will be Miles Franklin. Franklin is after hubbys grandfather Frank. I am having the hardest time with a girl name. We are using Bo as the first name. I cant find a family name - might just not use a family name. Any suggestions????

Have you though about combining portions of family names to create a feminine sounding new name? For example, using the MIL part with some other portion of a family name. One name that came to mind as I combined TA (from Tate) and the MIL was Tamila - but that sounds more like a first name, lol. Anyway, you get the picture.

Have you thought about not giving the baby a middle name? I might be the only one here but I am a one name only person. I only had one and never missed having another one.

But if your heart is set on a second name, you could use of of the internet anagram pages and by using two family names you could get one sounding female like times4 suggested. Also check the baby names sites and try for the less common ones.

I had a friend when I was younger and they could not think of a middle name but they wanted him to have one. So they waited until their other older son was a bit older and had him pick one for his new baby brother. (of course they liked the name too) but it made the older kid feel involved and is a cute story.
