Carsick

Does anyone have any tips for kids that get carsick? One of the twins gets carsick any time we travel for a long distance and I am getting ready to take a car trip.

My daughter used to get terribly sick. First, try peppermint candy, then ginger ale Schwepps, change her position to inside so she can't see outside as much, make sure he/she is forward facing, sitting up not lying down and frequent stops. Sorry you have to go through this, makes for a miserable car ride.

Don't forget, too, to make sure she has a plastic bag available in case all else fails! (And maybe extra clothes.) My daughter had a terrible time with carsickness for a long time but finally she outgrew it (at least the throwing up part).
