Why can't she do a cartwheel? Does she have the problem of not being able to balance or her arms not being able to take her body weight? The basic principle of a basic side to side cartwheel is understanding that movement has to be fluid and in momentum so your arms need not need to take a lot of your body weight. I think for some people, the problem is that they do not "go for it". Oh and keep that first foot pointing in the direction you want to go, your body will follow suit, always.
