Cold Drinks

A lot of my friends told me that I should avoid drinking cold drinks in order to avoid my tummy form getting it bigger. Is it true that drinking cold drinks will make your tummy bigger?

I cannot see the reason behind cold drinks making the stomach bigger. I'm not sure about this one but I'm sure that cold (even hot) alcoholic beverages will help in making the liver inflamed and that causes the stomach to enlarge.

I have heard that cold beverages allows you to either retain weight or gain weight. I understand that it is the effect that the cold has on the cells that cause this to happen. I don't know if it is scientific.

Hypothetically frozen water does expand, but not enough to cause a noticeable difference, even if you filled your stomach to full. And once you drink a frozen beverage its not going to stay frozen for long, so I'm going to guess this is an unfounded rumor.

I think that someone may have been kidding you. There are not any connections between the temperature of the water and the size of your stomach. Even if temperature affected the size of your stomach, the majority of your "tummy" when you are pregnant is definitely NOT your stomach! But, drinking too little water, regardless of temperature, will cause you to be dehydrated, which is not good for you or the baby!

I don't really think it would make it bigger, though it might make it upset. That has happened with me during my first pregnancy with extremely cold drinks, still to this day, I don't use ice cubes anymore.

This things seems new to me. This is the first time I ever heard of it. Maybe, you should consider about and stop drinking cold drinks for a while you ask an expert. Until then, my answer is just in between, playing safe.
