Ever planned a couple shower? What kinds of things can the men do when the women are chatting about babies and birthing stories? I've never been to a couple's shower so I don't know how to plan it. Any tips?

I didn't have a shower, but one of my friends had one and her husband and dad were there. It wasn't announced as a couple's shower, but I think all of the husbands were welcome to come if they had wanted to. It went like a normal shower except that the women refrained from discussing anything too graphic in front of the guys

I'v heard of men who sometimes go outside and grill or something while the women are inside. And then they eat together or whatever together.

I think it sounds like a good idea to include the 'dad' to be in the shower party. Gives them something to do. Although I imagine some may not want to be included!

My husband would not want to be included in a baby shower. I don't think I would want him to be there! I would want a regular, traditional shower. I've been to so many for other people, that I am really looking forward to when it is my turn. Hopefully soon!

I wonder why wouldn't the husband and other men be included in the baby talk and such? It's his child after all. I think he should show an active interest in it.

I have been to a couples shower. The men ate and watched the gifts being opened. Then while the ladies talked we watched sports on the television. Beer was also involved. I liked the food and gifts part, but when it comes to ladies gabbing, I'm out!
