When is the proper age to start dating for our teens? I always hear parents say when their 30 or out of the house, but we know thats not true. Crushes happen all the time in school so when is good time for the big date stage?

Hearing about kids wanting to date as pre-teens is not all that uncommon, but you would probably want to be there to supervise dates at that age.

Once the kid is 15 or 16, then you can start considering letting them date by themselves.

Every parent will have different ideas however.

For me the dating scene is not a numbers (age) thing. I think the decision should be on a case by case basis as I try to determine how responsible each child is to deal with such things.
