Dealing With Childhood Obesity

Nowadays in today's society, you just look outside and see a child and/or parent(s)/family member(s) overweight. How would you prevent that, but keeping them at the right size - even though you don't fully know how their system is?

Diet and exercise. We don't eat healthy in this country. So we're not generally healthy.

Could not agree more! With my first, he was chunky until he learned how to run then it melted away. He is extremely active now for being almost 6, running around all the time. Between his father and I, we are both tall and slanky.

Now my girl, who will be 10 months soon, her father (new daddy) was worried we fed her too much a couple of months back, so we trimmed down abit, and wouldn't you know it - every night she would scream and be hungry. I went against mothers instinct, never again. She now eats 3-4x a day (depending how long she is awake for), but normally sleeps 10/hrs a night, and as since she was 5wks old (how lucky am I?).

Yeah, babies eat what they need to eat. I would never deny a hungry baby that wasn't really obese. Their metabolisms are just too different from an adults. They are developing at an insane rate and need the nutrition they cry for.
