Dealing With Sleep Deprivation

Circumstances are conspiring against me right now to ensure that I am not allowed a good night sleep at any point. I am a wreck, and looking for tips for coping with day time exhaustion.

My only advice is sleep when baby sleeps. Don't fret about the housework, just sleep. And remember, this won't last long. Enjoy every minute of it.

Drink milk, I guess you like that because your username suggests something.

Seriously, sleep whenever you can get sleep. Just like momx said, you could also sleep while the baby sleeps. Howabout changing schedules with the dad? This night its his turn to take care of the baby and the next night will be yours.

I would like to know more solutions for this so that when I become a dad, I know what to do in sleepless nights.

Definitely sleep when baby does. Make sure you take a multi-vitamin if you don't already. Call in some favors owed by friends and family so you can get a couple naps or maybe even a night free?

I hear you. My 12 month old is teething and it's worse at night. The all night nurse-a-thons are the worst because you CAN'T switch off with anyone. And if you have an older kid, you may not be able to nap with the baby. If you are partnered, perhaps they could take the baby or older children if you have them, for an hour or two, so you could sleep. Maybe sleep with the baby if that is what you need to do.

My name is because I feel like a dairy cow with the amount of milk I am (having to) producing).

I wish I could sleep with her. Unfortunately there are other children that need to be taken care of. If only it were so simple.
