My baby girl is 3 weeks old. We have been using desitin cream for diaper rash. We apply it around the urinal & anal area. Due to somewhat regular use, there is some amount of it that has made its way into the outer (inner?) lips of the urinal area. Is this something to be concerned about? I am not so comfortable wiping it off from those delicate areas. We gave her a bath but it does not come of so easily...

It shouldn't hurt her in any way, but if she doesn't need to use diaper rash cream, then just stop using it. Frequent diaper changes and washing with just warm water even, should be sufficient. I'd still ask your pediatrician regarding this matter. But using creams and powders are not necessary. And I believe using powder is not recommended at all. Hope that helps.
