Diarrhea

How many days of diarrhea do you let pass before heading to the doc? My son has had loose poops for 4 days now, but is having plenty of wet diapers and besides the loose poop, seems normal.

I usually take it on baby's cues. If he's alert and responsive, and having lots of wet diapers, it's probably fine. He's just working that bug out in his own dirty little way LOL. I worry less about diarreha and more about dehydration and lethargy. Keep an eye on it, but it seems like he's fine.

I wouldn't let 5 days pass even if his diapers are still wet, I would also ensure that he is getting lots of fluids in the meantime. Just so that he doesn't become dehydrated.

If he is just loose and not watery, and he is peeing fine and otherwise acting fine then I wouldn't worry personally. An upset to a tiny tummy is different than for an adult and could take a little longer to be formed again.

Try giving him a good amount of probiotics-either powdered, or some good, live yoghurt.

Well he must have worked out what ever it was because he's back to his regular old constipated self. I just wish he could have stayed somewhere in the middle. Poor guy.
