I wouldn't want to know and I didn't with both of mine, although we didn't have much option years ago. I liked the surprise and didn't choose a name until I'd seen my babies. I was lucky and ended up with one of each!

We didn't want to know. We did what Jayden did and picked out a girl name and a boy name. I don't understand why people are so insistent about knowing the gender - where is the fun in that? I figured it was going to be the last great surprise in my life and I wanted to enjoy the suspense.

I did because I didn't want everything to be green and yellow. I wanted to be able to buy girl clothes if it was a girl and it was! I had a ball picking out cute little dresses and stuff.

We found out with all but one... he was too modest and wouldn't let us see!

You could always pick a generic androgynous name like Shannon or Jordan

With my first four we didn't have the option of having an ultrasound. Then with my last three we were in Chile, South America and my doctor insisted that I have one. Even though he told us what the baby was, we didn't tell anyone else and we didn't put much stock in it. I had a friend in college that was told she was going to have a great big baby boy. They got everything in blue and she ended up having twin girls! We figured it was better to just trust the Lord and be satisfied with whatever He saw fit to give us.

We didn't find out either. We wanted it to be a surprise. Also, we had heard the stories of parents being told the child was one gender, getting their minds and hearts prepared for that particular gender, and then the baby coming out the opposite.

We found out the first time and are planning to find out the second. I think it just makes it easier to prepare for the baby. I don't want everything yellow or green either.

We did find out what we were having and though we planned to all along the ultrasound tech didn't ask they just told us almost immediately.

Yeah I found out because I wanted to know ahead of time. I am just impatient like that. I really respect parents who are patient and can wait.
