Dietary changes

So I think the main reason I can't shed this weight is diet. I love food.

I'm making a list of different changes I can make, little by little, to help myself lose the weight. Here's what I have so far.

More fiber. It's supposed to help pass fat cells through before they have a chance to take hols in the body.
More water. It does about the same, flushes out the system.
More fruit and veggies.

Any other good dietary changes I can make?

I suggest portioning out the foods you love and only eating what you have portioned. For example, I love cheese and crackers. I would sit down with a box of crackers and a container of cheese and eat the bulk of it. Now I portion out a few crackers, spread the cheese, and put the rest away. And I feel satisfied! Try controlling your portions, not your food, so you don't feel deprived.

Portions is a big one. I have a set of heart shaped measuring cups for measuring portions, hearts make them fun to use-kind of.

Use smaller plates so your portions look bigger. Fiber, fruits and veggies are good. I try to drink a glass of water in between meals as well as use fruit/veggies as snacks. If I don't think I have to eat them I manage better.

I will tell you what works for me, I eat regularly,....seriously, but the right stuff, I snack on fruits and veggies. I avoid pastries as much as possible, I eat lots of whole foods.
