I was talking to a young mother today about her 12 year old who, she has eventually been told is autistic, but this little girl is angry, wrecks her bedroom and swears a lot. I have a relative with an autistic 4 year old but he is quiet and withdrawn. So are there many different types of autism?

There are so many different types that there are not names for every one. There are some with names like autism, that would be the withdrawn one and then Aspergers syndrome which is high functioning autism. The second is the child who may be angry and swear a lot. And there is everything in between and they call that pddnos.
