Disney world

My wife and I were thinking of going to disney world. Our child is 17 months old and would probably be about 2 years old if we go. My question to you is do you think 2 is to young an age for disney world. Will my son still have fun or should we wait a year or two to go?

He'll have so much fun that he'll not want to leave. Just take him up to the characters slowly. The big, tall, funny looking characters can sometimes be scarey to them and they freak! Take a lot of pictures because he won't remember everything about his first trip.

It might be best to wait till he's 4 or 5. That way he'll remember more of the trip and be able to take more of it in.

thanks for the advice, both sides make sense, maybe we'll just flip a coin or something.

Every body loves disney world, doesnt matter what age. Its become cheaper to travel to Disney than a few years ago, so maybe you could do another trip when he is older, if that is affordable for you.

Definitely take him while he's little. Before he's old enough to know Mickey is just a man in a costume. Then take him back again when he's old enough to enjoy all the rides. You'll have to go to Disney many times before you even begin to see all there is to see.

I think he'd be a good age to go. There is plenty to do that he'll enjoy and Disney is set up so that if the grown ups want to ride they still can. At most all the rides when you get to the front of the line they have a kiddie area, where a couple family members can stay behind with the kids while the other grown ups ride, then right after their ride is over the few that got left behind with the kids swap out and get to go on the ride next. I'd try to plan it though during off peak times and when the heat and humidity isnt as bad.
