Do you have big dreams for your children?
I look at my daughter and I have such high hopes for her future. I want her to go through school and graduate college at the top of her class. I want her to have a career she loves and makes a great living at so that she will never have to deal with any financial worries. Basically, I don't want her to stop at graduating high school and then end up going to college several years down the road like I am doing now. I know this seems to be thinking about these things a little early (considering she is only 3 1/2), but do any of you already have high hopes for the future of your little ones?

I think most parents have high hopes for their kids. Part based on our own experiences and what is the perfect life dictated by the society at the time.
We want them to have perfect lives without hurt or sorrow and to accomplish whatever they put their minds to.

I agree. I have very high hopes for my kids because I want them to be happy, successful adults. They both do very well in school and I know they can achieve great things as long as they keep their eyes on their goals.

Maybe I'm odd, but I don't really think much about the course of my children's lives because they are so young and their interests are still unfolding. Don't get me wrong, of course I want them to succeed in what they choose to do and be happy, but I just don't really think about what those things will be.

I don't worry much about it either. I don't care if they go to college or not, though I do want them to finish high school. I want them to be happy and have a family if that's what they want. Right now, that seems like enough.

I figure that if they do fail at school or whatever they've still got us to help them out. But I guess I know where I want them to be headed.
