Does breastfeeding help you to lose the pregnancy weight faster? I wasn't able to breastfeed for long the first time around so I was just curious if it helps with losing the weight.

While I was pregnant for my daughter I was told that breastfeeding would help with the weight loss. I did not find that to be the case. So like many things it depends on the person. I only lost 10 pounds of the 30 I gained due to breastfeeding.

I think it could help you loose weight if it didn't make you so hungry. When I nursed my son I felt like the life force was being sucked right out of me. I was constantly hungry and thirsty.
