I was overdue about 5 days and the baby still wouldn't come out. I had to be induced because I started throwing up which I wasn't doing before, not even in the early stages of pregnancy.

With my first baby, I was one day over due, the next one was born the day before the due date and the last one was 10 days early!

Due dates are not set in stone. They are just an estimate for when baby should be ready. Since it's almost impossible to determine exactly when the conception took place they have to just give an educated guess. Mine were all within five days of the due dates.

Re: Due dates - how accurate?

Hi,
That is just supposed to be a questimate as to when she might be here. It really depends on the actual day of conception. Although my daughter was due on Oct. 15 and I HAD her on that date.

Our beautiful baby boy was born a month early (doctors were off) but totally healthy and not really preemie-ish (health wise.)

Both of my due dates were pretty accurate. My first I was induced 5 days early, but I went into labor in the middle of the night before I was scheduled to go in. With my second I went into natural labor 8 days before my due date.

Sometime, the due date is not accurate like, you got delivered before or after the due date but the difference is of 4 to 5 days and it does not have any problem with that but needs some consultation.

Thanks
