Did you know that dyslexia isn't really a learning disability? It's actually a *perception* hyperability. Because a child with dyslexia can "see" things in 3D, from all angles at once, it makes reading difficult because he does the same thing with *words* - which, of course, cannot be done that way without causing confusion.
I have a dyslexic child who can sculpt some of the most amazing things with clay, because he can "see" what he wants to do from all sides.
The key to helping a dyslexic child *read* is to teach him to "orient" his mind's eye in ONE location (behind and above his head) in order to see the words as they're meant to be seen.
