I think it could be a possibility. My girls already tell me their stomachs stick out and everything, they see all these "perfect" celebrities and think everyone should look like that when in truth most of them are air brushed. I would sit and talk with her and try to figure out what is going on.

When you have 6 and 7 year olds asking for "diet coke" I would say that anorexia by 10 could be a definite possibility. I would definitely talk to her about it.

There was actually a story on the today show last week about this and they were talking about some girls as young as 7 or 8 so 10 would be a real possibility.

If you are worried then you need to do something about it right away. It's very sad that young girls feel like they are too fat. We as parents need to be really careful what we say to our daughters.

I am very worried about it. What is the first step in talking to her? As a single dad I am not sure and don't want to offend her or scare her away.
