Getting Your Husband To Help Out

How do you get your husband to help out around the house and with the kids? I work 30 hours a week and I do everything for the kids and around the house, I am getting quite exhausted with it all. Does anyone have any advice other than asking because I have already done that.

I wish I could help you. This is one of the many reasons I am in the middle of a divorce right now. My husband used to do nothing. Literally nothing. And then I would get yelled at if something didn't get done. I have friends whose husbands are helpful, but they were always like that.

Have a heart to heart with him. Marriage and parenting is a 50/50 relationship! You can stop doing all the things for him and only do for you and the kids. Hopefully he would see how much you do and then help out.

I'm lucky because my husband is a soldier and accustomed to keeping things clean and tidy plus he is a wizz at ironing! You had better just stop doing things and when he sees the state of the place he might realise that you need help.
