Healthy Eating

Lead by example right? I am sure many of us sometimes snack in front of the kids but what gets me is when a parent is known to eat badly infront of their children, how is that helping them any to learn whats good and what is not?

Great point, the best way to raise a healthy eater is to have the same diet for every family member.

And I tell my mother, if you really want my dad to quit smoking, you would quit smoking as well. And at the same time I tell my grandmother, if you really want my dad to quit smoking, you should quit smoking to help my mother quit smoking.

Examples and companionship help so much

There is so much truth in what you both said. If we don't set an example before we talk, we're failing completely. If you don't want your children fat, don't teach them to eat junk food. Eat and enjoy healthy food and snacks and your children will, too.
