Pfeil How to Get Your Baby to Sleep

These are a few tricks that I have learned from friends, family and personal experience to help my baby fall asleep.
Johnson’s Bedtime Wash is a good lavender wash for babiesStart off with a relaxing soak in the bathtub. Get in the bathtub with your baby if they are big enough for a regular bathtub. Fill the bathtub with warm water and plenty of lavender baby bath. Bath your baby and lay her on your stomach to promote relaxation.
This lotion works wonders before bedtimeTake the baby out of the bathtub in a large warm towel. Dry your baby off and put lavender baby lotion all over. Be sure and give a baby massage to the hands, feet and back. Dress your baby in comfy pajamas..not too binding.
Give you baby their bottle and sit in a quiet, dark room with her. Talk soothingly, but don’t allow her to fall asleep because this can lead to rotting her teeth. Lay her down once she is almost asleep. Soon, she should be softly snoring...

Try to feed your child more during the day. Even though your child will likely still wake during the night at least once, you can try to get him to eat more during the day so that most of his nutritional needs are met then, instead of during the night. This is especially true if your child's daytime feedings are short or if he is easily distracted during this time.
