Keeping up With a Little One When Expecting

It can be so hard. Days like today, I am fat and heavy, and hormonal and tired. And my toddler wants so badly to play, and be chased and tickled. I want to go to bed.

The temptation to put TV on for her is so great!

When I was due with my second, my first was almost 3 and running around like you would not believe. Then when I was due with my third, the 1st was 5 and the 2nd was just two, that was even more fun. I can only tell you to take breaks when you can, and always remember to ask for help when you need it. So many never do and thats what ends up with moms wanting to rip their hair out.

Great advise Rose! Our's were 2yr 2months apart (lost one in between) so I was pregnant it seemed non-stop. I would make myself (no matter how big a mess the house was), lay down when she laid down. In other words when your oldest naps you nap too! Remember 'this too shall pass'...And two babies/kids isn't twice the work it's a hundred times! You need your rest!

I can't say that I could cope with it myself, not with the twins. They run me ragged even without being pregnant, so I am not even contemplating another for many years yet!
