Maybe?

I just had a baby in March and got an IUD put in in May (nothing going on between) and then I am also exclusively breastfeeding and have not had a period in 2 months. I feel fine other than heartburn (which I never in the past have had other than when pregnant) Should I be concerned or is it just a side effect of the IUD and breastfeeding?

I don't know about the IUD but I do know that with breastfeeding it will cause your periods to be late or irregular. When I breastfed I would go a couple of months without also. Of course buying a cheap test just to calm your wonders wouldn't hurt.

I would just buy a test and see no need to drive yourself crazy wondering about it. If you haven't had an IUD before you can't know if it's a side effect although it's not one I have heard of.

The IUD can completely stop your periods-you may go the entire time that yours is fitted without ever having one. There are host of other side effects possible too that often ease with time, and that might be one (the heartburn) unfortunately.

I would recommend taking a test as well but it is highly unlikely that you would be pregnant on an IUD. I have also had one since my last child was born. I sometimes have light bleeding but not always. I have never had heartburn though.

Hey everyone after having my youngest whilst breastfeeding my periods didn't return. It wasn't till about a month after i stopped breastfeeding that my period returned.
An IUD should regulate your period.
I hope this has been helpfull but i always say if in doubt see the doctor.
