Meds and fighting it

Is it always a fight with children to take their medicine? I see this with other moms and have even been around other moms when they go "here, you try" and it works for me, but not for so many others. I guess I have a magic touch?

I never remember refusing meds when I was a kid and I was always on amoxycillin as a baby. My parents would have never let me get away with it though.

I do recall once when my mom gave me welch's grape juice and alka-seltzer throwing it back up after telling her I would. It made the nastiest grape foam you've ever seen.

I think it depends on the child. My oldest was, and still is, a pain to give meds to. My other two are a breeze. They will take meds with no trouble. With my oldest, I just made sure she knew she didn't have a choice. It was still a trial but at least she knew she wouldn't win.
