Meeting someone
I feel like I've been off the market long enough that I don't quite remember how to go about meeting someone that I want to date. For any of you who are involved with someone new, how did you meet them?

I'm not in a new relationship but my best friend is. Stay out of bars! I would let your friends set you up with their single friends and start there. You never know, you might find someone this way. Good luck!

I agree with momof4. It is better that you get hooked up with someone that one of your friends are familiar with. That way they have some idea of what they are like.

I read something in the paper talking about guys picking up ladies in grocery stores now and I was a little shocked. That is the last place I would think, a bar yes, a library maybe but a market?

Yeah, unless you're a bar type person, I wouldn't waste my time with them. You could meet people in the ways suggested here, or those online dating sites. Maybe someone through work, or you just happen to strike up conversation with someone anywhere you are.

I agree with you. I am not in a new relationship (I am not even a single parent), but if I were, I wouldn't date a completely stranger.

Yea unless you are looking for a one night stand avoid the bars all together. The few times I have been setup by friends it never worked out, well one did but only for a few years.
