Böse Mind your business stranger.

Why is it that whenever another person sees me and my son alone they always ask that idiotic question.. "What about his dad?" It irks me so bad. I find it rather rude to ask such a question, what if his father were dead?! I mean he's not but what drives a person to make such a question? I'ts just so impersonal and of bad taste. I'm a single mom and I really don't need to be reminded of the dead beat!

I am sorry that you are facing these comments. I don't think I have ever been seen in public with my baby's father and yet have not had to face these questions. Perhaps you just live in a bad area for it?

I can completely sympathize with you on this one. Some people should learn to mind their own business and not ask questions that can seem very obtrusive and inappropriate. I think these people should be answered that the "daddy"'s whereabouts are not their concern.

I hate when strangers make assumptions like that. On days I feel down and I know I'm showing it, people sometimes tell me to cheer up. These are strangers that don't even know my life!

What?? People are so stupid! Why would some stranger think they needed to get up in your business and comment on your situation? I would tell them to step off.
