Monkey in the bedroom

I have a stuffed monkey in the bedroom and until recently my 3 year old loved him. But for a few days now everytime he goes to bed he takes that monkey out of the bedroom and says the monkey likes it in the living room. So I asked if he was scared and he said no. But now I'm curious if he's scared or maybe he really does believe the monkey likes it in the livivng room.

Maybe he is scared of the monkey now, has he watched anything on TV that showed monkeys in a bad light. Otherwise, it could be a phase that will soon pass.

My three year old used to like monkeys until she watched an episode of Sponge Bob. There was a gorilla on it and now she's scared of monkeys-stuffed, real or cartoons. We always turn the channel when an episode of Sponge Bob comes on with the gorilla.

Maybe your child thinks the bedroom is their room and not the monkeys? I mean I love monkeys and don't get me wrong here but I could easily see why a monkey with the lights off could be scary looking.

Most times I hear about clowns being the ones that don't sleep in children's rooms after a certain age though never a monkey. I always thought they were super cute.
