My three year old is going through a funny phase. She is taking her clothes off. I don't know what to do to make her stop. Everytime I turn my attention off her for a few minutes she is stripping. I can't wait for this face to be over.

If you put her in overalls and use a safety pin to pin the back straps together, maybe she couldn't get out of them? Although, if she is potty trained, that would mean you would have to be available any time she had to go.

She WILL outgrow it eventually

Been there. My oldest snuck behind the christmas tree, unwrapped herself, and came out naked last year. Thank goodness only family was there. Took about 6 months before she stopped undressing herself.

I am glad I am not alone here. I think my 3 year old daughter is the only kid who has the funny yet embarrassing habit. My wife said that it would be over but I didn't believe her till now.

I actually remember my mother telling me that I had this stage in my young life too, to the point that I ended up streaking the entire block running down the sidewalk. Whoops!

I think all kids can go through it but you need to take the time to explain to a child when and why there is naked time and when its not needed.

I have heard the stories for years now and even some of the older family members still remember when we all of those who are well into their 40's now were "that age". It seems totally natural but the stories may come back to bite the kids one day.
