I have some work sitting on my desk that I really need to get through but my almost 20 month old daughter is going through that shrieking phase and I can't think! I think I'm gonna lose it!

Mine is, too! She's not quite 18 months, and anything her brother does seems to set her off some days. Can you set her in a playpen or floor with some particularly favorite toy? Play a CD of classical music, to help calm her? Have a sibling take her outside for a few minutes during the day? Hopefully by now she's gone to sleep and you have some quiet

Oh no... Sounds like you need some "you time". Perhaps you can work later when she is napping. Right now you should play with her or do something to try to calm her down. Good luck!
